Year 4 of the Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund offers over half a million to 26 East London projects
We are pleased to share the news that we have offered £560,000 to a new round of grant recipients for the fourth year of our Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, a £10 million five-year creative programme, launched in 2021 with founding partner retailer Westfield Stratford City.
The creative employment programme based in Stratford, London will help create 407 new jobs and will benefit nearly 30k people across Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest as part of the 26 funded projects, which have been offered grants of up to £50k through our community grant schemes.
This includes:
- 9 Large Grant Scheme projects awarded £382,098
- 12 Medium Grant Scheme projects awarded £155,752
- 5 Small Grant Scheme projects awarded £22,150
This year, the Large Grant Scheme proposals were selected for the first time by a Community Grant Panel, made up of representatives from each of our East London boroughs, with a total of two from Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest each.
Now in its fourth year, the Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund’s open-access community grants scheme has already awarded a total of £3,465,905 to 166 projects. Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund aims to provide new jobs, learning, training and educational programmes through the means of arts, culture, innovation, public realm and creative placemaking.
