Today Foundation for Future London is launching its two new funds, Medium Grant Scheme and Large Grant Scheme, through the major Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, a £10m investment from Westfield Stratford City to support a boost in jobs, employment and skills development in arts, culture, innovation and creative placemaking.

Non-profit organisations and businesses, schools and community groups in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest are encouraged to apply for funding from two new schemes that aim to create jobs, training opportunities and tackle inequalities for local people.

Medium Grant Scheme

  • Grants from £5,000 to £15,000 available for projects for young people or local communities.
  • Medium grants will support lifelong learning, skills development and personal improvement opportunities and help tackle health, social and economic inequalities.
  • Who can apply? Locally-based groups and organisations can apply – voluntary groups, community groups, registered charities, social enterprises, schools, and not for profits.

Large Grant Scheme

  • Grants from £15,000 to £50,000 available for partnership projects that create jobs and training and learning opportunities
  • Locally rooted grants in arts & culture, heritage & communities, research & innovation, technology, education, and/or creative placemaking that support above outcomes
  • Who can apply? Partnerships and/or consortiums or projects that show a true and equitable partnership/champion equality and inclusion/co-designed approach and/or cross borough projects.

Deadline for applications is Monday 30 November 2020 at midday. Both grant schemes are open to a wide range of non-profit organisations.

Westfield Stratford City’s £10m sponsorship of this programme was announced in July 2019. In September this year, applications opened for smaller grants through the programme and over 260 submission have already been made. The Medium and Large Grant Schemes are the next series of funds that will be available to people and organisations in East London.

Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund Medium Grant Scheme and Large Grant Schemes are now open for applications until Monday 30 November 2020 at midday

The Foundation has a strong commitment to Inclusion, Diversity and Equality and actively encourages applications from all. If you think one of our grants is right for you but you require either the guidelines in a different format, assistance or alternative way to complete the application form, or perhaps a specifically designed workshop to talk you through the process then please get in touch. It is through ongoing conversations that we can keep improving how we work for our local communities. Contact Ashton Mullins, Grants Manager at Foundation for Future London on

This flagship fund is being administered by East End Community Foundation (EECF). Before applying, please read the following guidelines carefully and you can contact the EECF Grants Team on if you have any questions or want more information on the Fund.
