Delivered by Rosetta Art Centre CIO
In 2022, the Foundation for Future London has awarded a grant to Rosetta Art Centre CIO for its project “Rosetta Arts Artists’ Accelerator Year 2” for people in Newham through our Medium Grant Scheme.
“Rosetta Arts Artists’ Accelerator Year 2” will offer six diverse artists the opportunity to be skilled in socially engaged practice through experiential learning, mentoring, professionalised practice, dedicated studio and bursaries.
The Medium Grant Scheme is part of our Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, funded by Westfield Stratford City.
The project meets all four of our scheme’s key themes, Employment Opportunities, Learning Opportunities, Young People and Business and Entrepreneur Support.
This is the second year of a three-year project to support local creative practitioners who are skilled and want to strengthen their practice in socially engaged, participatory arts. At Rosetta, we can harness the power of community to support artists through education, facilities and local networking to support and bolster artistic careers.
Our artists are at a crucial stage in their growth and the Artist Accelerator Scheme offers structure and advice. The Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund funding will help us provide support for our selected Accelerator Artists through studio space, a bursary, professional practice classes, masterclasses and 1-2-1 mentoring tailored to their needs. This scheme allows us to support local artists as they navigate the Post-COVID creative landscape.
