Fiorentini Arts School scholarships

Delivered by Fiorentini Arts School Ltd

In 2022, the Foundation for Future London has awarded a grant to Fiorentini Arts School for its project “Fiorentini Arts School scholarships” for young people in Hackney and Tower Hamlets through our Small Grant Scheme.

The scholarships will provide full or partial support for 10 children from low income families in Black, Asian and ethnically diverses communities in Hackney and Tower Hamlets to attend its performing arts school.

The Small Grant Scheme is part of our new Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, funded by Westfield Stratford City.

The project meets two of our scheme’s key themes, Young People and Learning Opportunities.

About the project

The award-winning Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School for 4 – 18 year olds is a not-for-profit organisation. Students follow a timetable of Drama, Singing, Dance and Film all taught by leading industry professionals. Our teachers will help students learn new performing arts techniques and transferable life skills whilst also providing a friendly, safe and supportive environment. Here, every child is free to express themselves and grow in their creative and technical abilities.

The School, alongside our charitable arm the Fiorentini Foundation, believe that professional performing arts training needs to be accessible to all children and young people who wish to build on their confidence, self-esteem and life skills or pursue a career in the arts industry. We want to nurture emerging talent from all walks of life and as such we aim to offer full and partial scholarships to our schools. These will provide the vital support necessary for students to overcome any financial or life barriers they face to access the arts. The pandemic has had an impact on the mental health of everybody but especially young people.

With the help of this Small Grant Scheme, the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School are pleased to support where they can.
