Cultural Engagement Accelerator

Delivered by Rosetta Art Centre CIO

In 2020, we are supporting the “Cultural Engagement Accelerator” project by Rosetta Arts through our Connecting People and Places funding, co-funded by Foundation for Future London and City of London.

“Cultural Engagement Accelerator” is a collaborative project between Get Living, Foundation for Future London and Rosetta Arts based in Newham.

We awarded “Cultural Engagement Accelerator” project a grant as it meets many of Connecting People and Places’s themes and priorities including participation, diversity, place making, engagement, wellbeing and education.

The project also focuses on young people, older people, Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people and working-class people, some of the marginalised groups of beneficiaries we want to reach.

About the project

16 local creative practitioners skilled in collaborative and participatory arts will be drawn from Newham and neighbouring boroughs to join the innovative Rosetta Arts Artist Accelerator. Participants will each receive access to bursaries, mentoring and networks to contribute to local communities, providing creative responses to specific needs.

Funded by Get Living, Foundation for Future London and Rosetta Arts, the practitioners will already have experience of working collaboratively with local people, using creativity to engage with people who have little contact with the arts. Rosetta Arts will provide financial support for practitioners in need, foster individuals’ development and enhance their careers.
