Eleanor Pearce
Eleanor Pearce is an artist, educator and curator living and working in Forest Gate.
Her work in Newham has included teaching adult art classes at The Gate Library, an art club for the over 50s, family workshops for Newham Heritage Week, an outdoor landscape drawing workshop for Party in the Park, and the launch event for Bloomin’ Forest Gate. To date, she has organised three large scale exhibitions at The Gate Library to showcase her students work. In August 2020, following the end of the first Covid–19 Lockdown Eleanor launched a successful outdoor programme of art classes for her students at The Forest Gate Community Garden and The Grove Guesthouse, E7 entitled Art in the Garden.
Eleanor has exhibited at sites of historical interest including The Caledonian Park Clock Tower, The Crypt Gallery, St Pancras, and Perrot’s Folly, Birmingham as well as The Gate Library and The Forest Gate Community Garden in east London.
Eleanor held the role of Director of Art at Islington Arts Factory, 2006 – 2020, where she led and delivered arts educational programmes for adults and children, and curated on the annual exhibition programme across its two galleries.
