British Bangladeshi Fashion Council
British Bangladeshi Fashion Council (BBFC) delivers fashion industry training, work experience, networking opportunities and events. Our aim is to support British Bangladeshi and other underrepresented communities to overcome barriers to success in the fashion and wider creative industries.
BBFC has a network of strong partnership in place with organisations such as UAL: London College of Fashion, East London Fashion District, Central St Martins, local and international fashion designers, and range of other creatives.
BBFC offers a range of fashion/creative related developmental programmes and events aim at nurturing young and aspiring talent from overlooked communities. In doing so, BBFC introduces local people to the fashion and wider creative sectors, acknowledging that these industries are often viewed as elitist/exclusive by people from working class; low income and ethnic minority backgrounds. BBFC uses role models from relatable backgrounds who are successful within the fashion industry to inspire emerging talent and help break down negative perceptions and barriers.
