Welcoming our second Community Ambassador Jazal Babar

We are pleased to welcome the second ambassador to our new Community Ambassador scheme, Jazal Babar, who was raised in Walthamstow.

Jazal Babar is a young leader in the ESG space, working between sustainability and philanthropy. He joined The Conduit, where he is currently a Global Impact and Sustainability Lead, directly from Cambridge University, where he was active in student organising and community engagement.

Jazal has been central to advancing sustainable initiatives in his organisation and advising the Belron Ronnie Lubner Charitable Foundation as they awarded over €1.5m of grants to organisations supporting refugees globally.

Our Community Ambassadors are essential in advocating and representing our work in East London while benefiting professionally from our support, networks and contacts.

He was raised and educated in Walthamstow and fondly remembers attending the 2012 Olympics in Stratford with his family. He has a deep love and connection to the vibrant culture and community of East London and is passionate about equitable and sustainable investment in the East London boroughs.

Jazal will join our Community Ambassador lead, singer and award-winning social entrepreneur, Tiwa King, in helping to shape our new programme to attract more candidates to this critical role.

We launched the scheme in April 2024 as part of our new Strategic Plan 2024-2029.
