Arti has lived most of her life in East London after moving from Kenya and began her training career with auditors in finance focusing on communities and the commercial sector.
She has been providing financial management and business support (including business and strategic planning) by leading on change management with reporting systems with over 20 years of experience as an Interim Director, Head and Finance Manager to a wide range of organisations including charities.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Arti worked with Local Trust, Alcohol Research, Demos think tank, Institute of Contemporary Arts and Quaker Social, amongst others.
Arti believes it’s a good opportunity to be involved as an accountant in the running of a charity, focusing on helping people and communities and working for a cause that matters to you.
Arti manages the Foundation’s finances and supports the financial aspects of programmes including grants and contracts. She also carries out our day-to-day finance activities and supports senior management with Foundation’s strategic work.

We love East London
Arti likes East London’s cultural diversity of people, street art and parks such as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It is a lively place, buzzing with markets and one can walk around to see how genuine and down to earth it is. It’s lovely to see hubs of businesses like curry places in Brick Lane.
Did you know…
Arti loves studying yoga, meditation, ayurveda and vaastu (science of architecture) and in her spare time practices it with her family.
