In 2020, we are supporting the “Windrush and Beyond: Stories of Migration” project by Paula David through our Connecting People and Places funding, co-funded by Foundation for Future London and City of London.
“Windrush and Beyond: Stories of Migration” is a project based across Newham.
We awarded “Windrush and Beyond: Stories of Migration” a grant as it meets many of Connecting People and Places’s themes and priorities including participation, diversity, placemaking and engagement.
The project also focuses on young people, older people and Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people, some of the marginalised groups of beneficiaries we want to reach.
“Windrush and Beyond: Stories of Migration” will give British Caribbean residents the opportunity to take part in intergenerational conversations, through reminiscence workshop/session that will explore stories of the Windrush generation and also second and third generations.
