Delivered by East India Over 50’s Consortium (Consortium50)
In 2021, the Foundation for Future London is supporting “The Wild Women Collective” project by Poplar-based East India Over 50’s Consortium (Consortium50) through our Small Grant Scheme.
This scheme is part of our new Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund, funded by Westfield Stratford City.
“The Wild Women Collective” is a project that brings together women from across the communities of Tower Hamlets and Hackney to celebrate the wisdom and inspiration from all stages of life.
We awarded “The Wild Women Collective” a grant as it meets our Small Grant Scheme’s “Covid-19 response” priority.
The project focuses on women, which is one of the marginalised groups of beneficiaries we want to reach.
The Wild Women Collective (TWWC) is a pilot project which brings together women from across communities to celebrate the wisdom and inspiration from all stages of life. Through support groups, talks and 1-1 support, we invite women to discover the power of connection, realise their resources within and equip them with tools and techniques for a greater understanding of self-care.
So, what does this all look like?
Mutual Support Group
Intimate sessions welcome all women living in Tower Hamlets and Hackney to share, listen and learn from one another, explore and create solutions to life’s challenges and build resilience.
Sometimes it’s just knowing there are others that are experiencing the same thing as you, knowing someone is there to listen, that can make all the difference.
‘Wild Talk’
Invites women to delve deeper into their wellness at this monthly talk which covers a different topic each month and includes a Q & A.
