The Hidden History Experience

Delivered by HyperActive Developments

In 2020, we are supporting the “Hidden Histories Experience” project by HyperActive Developments through our Connecting People and Places funding, co-funded by Foundation for Future London and City of London.

“Hidden Histories Experience” is a project based in Hackney.

We awarded “Hidden Histories Experience” project a grant as it meets many of Connecting People and Places’s themes and priorities including creative learning, heritage, placemaking, innovation, collaboration, education and partnerships.

The project also focuses on young people, older people, Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people and working-class people, some of the marginalised groups of beneficiaries we want to reach.

About the project

“The Hidden Histories Experience” combines new AR and VR technologies being developed at Plexal to create an immersive heritage trail in conjunction with Newham Heritage Month. The aim of the project is to spark interest and involvement among local young people via “Digital Open Badges”.
