Delivered by Split Banana
In 2020, we are supporting the “Split Banana” project by Split Banana through our Connecting People and Places funding, co-funded by Foundation for Future London and City of London.
“Split Banana” is a project based across Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
We awarded “Split Banana” a grant as it meets many of Connecting People and Places’s themes and priorities including collaboration, innovation, diversity, inclusivity, education, employment, creative learning, partnerships and wellbeing.
The project also focuses on young people and Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people, some of the marginalised groups of beneficiaries we want to reach.
“Split Banana” is running a series of creative workshops in the Olympic Boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets that will bring together young people and local artists to explore what relationships mean to us. “Split Banana” will be looking at the relationships we have with ourselves, what it actually means to be in a “healthy” relationship, and how we can identify and unlearn some of the problematic narratives that society tells us about what these relationships should look like.
