Delivered by Big Creative
In 2023, we are supporting Big Creative’s “Life Bytes” project through our Connecting People and Places Fund’s Collaborative Commissions 2023, co-funded by City of London as part of our Foundations Programme.
“Life Bytes” is a pilot project of skills development for 15-24-year-olds, events, CPD, and partnership building looking at digital creativity and innovation, future-proofing and fusion skills, representation, and inclusivity linking education and work.
These commissions will unlock further understanding on how creativity can be used to deliver arts, education, employment programming that provides creative learning opportunities, employment and leadership roles, training and fusion skills development.
They also share a commitment to developing equity in their project’s design and delivery, supporting underrepresented people’s ideas and visibility.

A series of enquiry questions regarding the future of the creative arts alongside two ‘hackathon’ style events will provide a platform for introducing new technology and giving participants the opportunity to work hands on with it on tech-based challenges such as coding, web and mobile app development, AR app development, generative art and AI art.
The project will bring in experts and speakers in the field of digital creativity to provide guidance and support to participants. The events will also provide an opportunity to work in teams towards the challenge, develop pitches and present their output to the group, developing confidence, self-belief, and oracy/presentation skills.
