Encounter Bow Festival

by Chisenhale Dance Space

Delivered by Chisenhale Dance Space

In 2020, we are supporting the “Enhancing Encounter Bow Festival” project by Chisenhale Dance Space through our Connecting People and Places funding, co- funded by Foundation for Future London and City of London.

“Enhancing Encounter Bow Festival” is a project based in Tower Hamlets.

We awarded “Enhancing Encounter Bow Festival” project a grant as it meets many of Connecting People and Places’s themes and priorities including participation, diversity, inclusivity, accessibility, engagement and partnerships.

The project also focuses on Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people, one of the marginalised groups of beneficiaries we want to reach.

About the project

Encounter Bow a free outdoor arts festival returns in 2021. Encounter Bow is a interactive day of dance, art and discovery between Roman Road, Old Ford Road, and all the hidden spaces in between. The programme includes free performances, workshops and encounters encouraging the community to experience the streets of Bow in new, creative ways.
