In 2020, we are supporting the “Creative Climate Idea Sparks Sessions” project by Artillery CIC through our Connecting People and Places funding, co-funded by Foundation for FutureLondon and City of London.
We awarded the “Creative Climate Idea Sparks Sessions” project a grant as it meets many of Connecting People and Places’s themes and priorities including collaboration, innovation, participation, sustainability, place-making, engagement, partnerships and well-being.
Creative Climate Idea Sparks are three free, inclusive events designed to inspire, enable collaboration and trigger further enquiry among Walthamstow’s grassroots festival makers: artists, creatives, residents, local SME businesses, and activists. From Sept ‘20 – Feb ‘21, Artillery will mentor 10 presenters to share ideas, approaches and questions to identify, test and embed sustainable creative practice across local programming including E17 Art Trail, Walthamstow Garden Party, neighbourhood events and High Street ADVENTures.
Building on Artillery’s experience of engaging diverse residents, these sessions are devised with local creatives, partners and residents to collectively interrogate Artillery’s current theme: Possible Futures : Future Possibilities.
