Streets of Growth
Streets of Growth work with vulnerable young people aged between 15-25 years old living in Tower Hamlets to help them develop the motivation, resilience, and skills to thrive. Our vision is for no young adults to be left behind by local regeneration – and our mission is to offer viable routes to improve their lifestyle, environment, and education and career opportunities.
At Streets of Growth, we ‘Start with a No’ by refusing to give up on young people who are at high-risk of exploitation and violence in some of the most hard-to-reach areas. The ‘Relationships for Change’ that our intervention coaches build with young people mean that we continue to support them through setbacks and relapses. In our 21 years of working, over 4000 young people have benefited from our services and programmes.
Our intervention and one-to-one coaching programmes are supported by a range of creative workshop programmes delivered from our dedicated creative enterprise hub, The Manor. These programmes give young people a chance to experiment with their creativity and to learn about the variety of creative careers on offer across fashion, music, film, and design. Our workshops and masterclasses are delivered by experienced design and creative industry specialists with progression into further education or employment opportunities built into the programmes.
