Great Get Together returns to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2022

Get ready for East London’s biggest Great Get Together celebration to date, which will take place on 23 July 2022 in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. We’re looking forward to supporting this popular one-day event again.

The Great Get Together is a fun way to bring together East London’s diverse communities, heritages and cultures together, with music, dance, arts, sports and food for all to enjoy. We’ll be running free family-friendly arts and craft workshops, led by young producers from the HereUs scheme. These workshops and the young producers scheme are funded by the Foundation for Future London and City of London. Look out for more programme details closer to the time.

Bringing together children, young people and their families through fun arts and cultural activities fosters a shared sense of joy in being creative and learning together. This will open young minds to creatives paths later on in life. And nurture new skills and opportunities for older ones too. We’re also working collaboratively with communities to make more inclusive spaces and events where all are welcome.

This year’s Great Get Together will aim to honour 10 years since the London 2012 and Paralympic Games, as part of a summer-long programme of events. If you want to join in the Games reminiscence, you can share your favourite memories of the Paralympic and Olympic Games using hashtags #PasstheBaton #London2012.
