Exploring the world of work with London Careers Festival 2022
Our partners City of London and Culture Mile have organised a careers festival that aims to give children and young people a taste of work, fuelling imaginations, developing skills, and inspiring futures.
London Careers Festival 2022 will take place over two weeks, with virtual festival 20-24 June 2022 and in-person festival 27 June to 1 July 2022 at Guildhall.
This free programme is aimed at primary, secondary and post-16.
Now more than ever, the Foundation for Future London believes that we need to equip the next generation with inspiration, ideas and practical support to get the jobs they deserve.
For younger children, careers education can help to intervene early to positively impact children’s understanding of themselves and their potential. In secondary schools and beyond, it encompasses personal guidance as to next steps, encounters with employers and workplaces, and developing the fusion skills needed for the future workplace.
The London Careers Festival helps schools to meet their statutory careers provision and Gatsby benchmarks whilst providing young people with access to opportunities across a range of sectors.
The festival includes a workshop programme from organisations including the BBC, Bloomberg, Generation Success, and Career Ear. This year also sees the return of the in-person ApprenticeFutures careers event and Livery Schools Link showcase, as well as a full day of creative careers sessions in collaboration with Culture Mile Learning.
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
