Coronavirus update and how it will affect our work

As a response to the critical situation with the Covid-19 epidemic globally and particularly in the UK and London, the Foundation wanted to update you on our situation.

Firstly, we hope that you are staying safe and taking all necessary precautions as advised by guidance from government and NHS services.

We have closed our Stratford office and cancelled all face to face meetings, and our staff are working from home. They are contactable by email or mobile.

We are getting in touch with all funded projects about delivery of projects and any questions they may have if projects are postponed or cancelled.

Our current funding stream Connecting People and Places is still open until 31 March 2020 for applications. Information about the fund can be found on our website. If you have questions about applying, you can reach the team on info@future.london.

We are reviewing timescales for decisions on this fund. Please get in touch if you have any queries.

Over the coming weeks, we will continue working with our Board, East Bank and Culture Mile colleagues and funders and other partner organisations to prepare a contingency plan on how we can best and safely deliver our planned programmes, funding and initiatives for 2020.

We will endeavour to keep you updated on this and we will provide you with opportunities to feed in to our planning as they develop.

We thank colleagues in the arts, culture and innovation and public sectors for demonstrating leadership in the face of this unexpected global crisis and for offering support and guidance to the many people affected by the crisis at this moment.

We also thank the people and organisations in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest for their early responses to helping those in need in the local community, showing kindness and compassion in the face of difficulty.
